Michelin Collectors Store Range Extended
0Following the launch of the Michelin Collectors Store last year, the range has been extended to include 4 new products.
Racing ahead, the new Racing Bibendum figurine is hand crafted from resin and hand painted in the Fariboles workshops near Rouen. Just 999 models have been produced, each accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Time seems to have stopped precisely at twenty past noon on a day in the year 1935. In the Michelin garage diorama, where mechanics are taking a break but the Michelin Man is working, surrounded by tools and adverts of the time. Tyres, compressor, pressure gauge, shelf and repair kit are all hand-painted and 1/35th scale sized in a watercolor decorum. Only 100 original copies produced, each with numbered certificate of authenticity.
After the first volume, discover the Michelins advertising history through a superb book made up of unpublished documents drawn from the Michelin Heritage archives. 96 pages, rebound with cloth spine and hard cover, 29.5 x 32cm and only 1898 copies printed.
The Michelin Mans many faces Directed by the Michelin Graphic Studio of Great Britain in the 1950s, these faces are taken from a board of typographical photographs which were integrated into the future communication campaigns of the brand. Today they are brought back to life in colour or in black and white in the form of 30 x 30 cm Pop Art screen prints.
