Michelin and cosmo connected enhancing safety for bikers in Asia

Michelin has joined forces with fellow French company Cosmo Connected to commercialise a connected brake light for both motorcyclists and cyclists in China and Thailand.

The device is simple yet ingenious. Firstly, it allows motorcyclists or cyclists to be more visible on the road, by attaching to the back of any helmet and showing their deceleration at eye level. Secondly, it alerts friends, relatives and/or emergency services in case of an accident, by detecting collisions.

Dedicated to cyclists, Cosmo Bike also integrates flashing lights that allow other road users to better anticipate their manoeuvers, and to safely navigate while in traffic. This device was already been awarded three CES Innovation awards in 2018.
