New MICHELIN soles licensee, JV International recently held a press conference to officially announce the collaboration. The event was held on 26th November at L’Aventure Michelin in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Attending the event were representatives from JV International, MLL and Michelin.

The event saw the three companies talk about the partnership to design a new generation of shoe soles, transferring technology from tyres to soles, as well as facts and milestones of JV International and Michelin, and explaining the MLL mission of extending the MICHELIN brand’s reach.

At the heart of the press conference were the products which were recently launched:

  • for motorcycling with TCX: the TCX Adventure Infinity and TCX X-Cube / X-Square Plus Urban
  • for mountain biking with Northwave: the Northwave Dolomites Evo Rock’R and Northwave Spider Plus 2 / Spider 2 – X Crossbow
  • for safety with Diadora: the Diadora Artic

A new range launches!

Following on from the launches of soles for TCX motorcycle boots and Northwave cycle shoes, we are now pleased to announce an agreement to work with Italian brand, Diadora. The partnership sees the transfer of technology from tyres to soles to create an innovative sole designed to enhance the performance of technical working footwear.

The sole is inspired by the Michelin Alpine 4 tyre which thanks to full active tread technology ensures optimum stability and performance in the wet, mud and snow, adapting to any terrain thanks to its multi-directional lugs that increase grip. The other source of inspiration is the Michelin Anakee 2, which offers excellent resistance and due to its many grooves allows excellent drainage of liquids, resulting in a clean, high performance shoe.
