Communicating with our stakeholders is one of Michelin Lifestyles key priorities. Just over a year ago we stepped up our communications activities and over the last 12 months weve:
- Launched the new and improved MICHELIN Footwear website
- Held press events / launches for new products such as the MICHELIN electric bike and Le Chameau rubber boots with Michelin technology.
- Conducted advertising campaigns for products such as the Easy Grip Composite Snow Chains and Wiper Blades
Internally, we have been working closely with the central Communications team in Clermont-Ferrand to develop Michelin Lifestyles Intranet presence on both Michelins country and entity Intranet sites. We feel this is an especially important tool to communicate with you, one of Michelins 110,000 employees, as you are already ambassadors to our great brand. As well as being able to communicate news stories, product ranges, interesting facts and figures, and reinforce and explain MLLs mission – it is also a great tool to connect with you so we can work together and synergise.
The Intranet is an important tool to communicate to the 110,000 Michelin employees.
Furthermore, we are trying to make as many MICHELIN-branded products as possible available to Michelin employees. We are working on a project with our licensees so we can share information on the preferred distributors of MICHELIN-branded products so that the Michelin employees can have access to these fantastic products. And if a discount can be made possible, it will be even more of an incentive for you to purchase them!
Externally we have been working on the licensee resource website – an online marketing and resource area for licensees. It is an essential tool which will make the Michelin Licensee relationship easier and ensure licensees are up-to-date with all resources available, for example, the MICHELIN brand guidelines. It will also be an interesting platform to exchange success stories and provide opportunities for progress between the Licensee and Michelin Lifestyle community. It allows each licensee individual access to information and an opportunity to share best practices, and build relationships with other licensees and Michelin. Over time, itll be quicker and more efficient for us to communicate with licensees.
