Focus on Kempa in handball
0Handball is the second biggest sport in Europe after football and one of the leading team sports on an international level, particularly in Germany.
The European championships in 2016 attracted over 1,200 media representatives working in television, print and online media and was broadcast in 175 countries. So in terms of visibility for brands, its a big deal.
Kempa, owned by uhlsport GmbH, is one of the biggest names in handball and current sponsor of the German, Swedish and many other national teams. Michelin and Kempa are working in cooperation to develop soles for their handball shoes.
The main requirements for handball shoe soles are very similar to those for tyres: optimum grip and durability, so with Michelins expertise in rubber and Kempas expertise in handball, they were bound to produce a winning formula.
WING LITE is the latest addition to the range and developed specifically for flankers. A highly innovative shoe that sets new standards for lightness and provides an ideal balance with optimal grip, durability and stability.
Top scorer for the German national team, Uwe Gensheimer is currently wearing the new WING LITE. See him in action in the latest promotional video which supports the shoe launch.
