Partnership with Michelin

Remington has built a reputation of innovation, quality, flexibility and excitement. Lisa Moses, Remington’s Vice President of Marketing said: “Partnering with one of the world’s leading brands has further enhanced our mission as Michelin represents the values and ideas in which we believe. The brand equity Michelin has is an endorsement to our company and our products which represent our expertise in creative design, engineering and manufacturing. The partnership between Michelin and Remington is a trust we take very seriously.”

MICHELIN EdgeLiner

Remington launched the MICHELIN floor mat program with 2 styles in 2004 which has grown over the past 10 years to over 30 styles of mat, sold to consumers through traditional retail outlets.

The most exciting thing happening today is the introduction of the MICHELIN EdgeLiner. Remington introduced the new MICHELIN EdgeLiner at the recent AAPEX show in Las Vegas. The EdgeLiner is a custom-fit floor mat and liner program for light trucks and SUVs, and they are looking to develop this for other vehicles.

The custom liner category is not new, but the MICHELIN EdgeLiner brings an entire new level of premium quality and functionality to this growing segment.

The most exciting thing happening today is the introduction of the MICHELIN EdgeLiner

Utilizing the latest laser technology, EdgeLiner allow owners of popular trucks and SUVs to purchase a custom fit mat that precisely fits their vehicle. “Three out of four consumers told us that fit and size are the most significant factors they consider when purchasing a floor mat,” said Tim Parkes, CEO of Remington Industries. “These important preferences beat out price, ability to clean and style. As a result, we are excited to launch the EdgeLiner program to the aftermarket because a professional, custom fit mat offers the best coverage and maximum protection for consumers.”

MICHELIN EdgeLiner mats are injection moulded and feature precise laser fit measurements to ensure the best possible fit for each vehicle. A deep tray design and rugged, all-weather topography shields the vehicle interior from debris. MICHELIN EdgeLiner mats are made from a unique, engineering grade resin for superior durability, which also repels water so it is not slippery when wet. An anti-slip backing keeps the EdgeLiner mats securely in place.

For the Future?

The MICHELIN ShapeFit is currently under development; this program will enable traditional retailers to offer a custom option – competing with the online custom mat business. There is a need for this as traditional retailers are losing market share to online custom-fit mats every day.
