MLL join the Tire Cologne Fair

The Tire Cologne Fair in May, confirmed its position as the leading International platform of the Global tire and wheel industries with a strong and supportive turn-out, especially in view of the current geopolitical situation.

The fair attracted 12,000 trade visitors from 100 countries with around 300 companies and brands exhibiting from 35 countries.

Over 450sqm, the Michelin Group used all business entities to show their engagement and commitment to sustainability and electro mobility.

Michelin Licensing was present with the shoe brand partners Ecoalf, which were chosen by the Michelin Germany crew to wear during the event, and Bogner to underline the sustainability approach with their Hybrid Compound Sole.

 

The special feature of the MICHELIN Hybrid Compound Soles is the balance between a reduced environmental impact during production and a high-performance product.

The rubber compound is made by integrating waste from the sole production into a new moulding process. The waste undergoes a conditioning treatment to create micro-pellets that are then fed into the raw rubber mix which ultimately reduces waste and therefore the environmental impact.
