New product and packaging designs in practice
0Earlier this year MLL introduced new guidelines to help licensees of Michelin Vehicle Accessories create more impactful and consistent products and packaging designs.
The aim of the guidelines is to make Michelin Vehicle Accessories more recognisable by certain design features in the actual product design or on the packaging, such as colours, fonts, texture and style.
The main identifier is the Michelin chevron which we use as a physical metaphor for A better way forward in order to put this key brand value at the heart of all future product and packaging designs
The chevron not only connects emotionally to Michelins sense of purpose, movement and pioneering spirit, it also plays a functional role on-pack, creating drama and focus while guiding the consumers eye. Used in product design, it helps create a physical signature that unifies products across many diverse categories.
Some licensees have already started to put them into practice and we should soon start to see their products on shelves. Heres a few examples to look out for in a Vehicle Accessories store near you!
